I observed the loopback address, interface status, and current routing table to ensure all were correct and operational. I decided to ping the directly connected neighbor (B) and add a route for B's loopback address, which already existed. I then verified the routing table again and pinged B's loopback address to confirm connectivity. I informed B of the verified connectivity and pinged other advertised routes to ensure broader connectivity. After reporting completion, I received a notification about DNS server issues, so I attempted to ping 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1, both of which failed, indicating connectivity issues. These steps were taken to systematically verify and report on network connectivity and respond to network issues.
